Walk to rebuild Swannanoa's Beacon Village!
Join Serve To LEAD's upcoming Walk-A-Thon event to benefit residential rebuilding in Swannanoa’s Beacon Village. This area in Swannanoa was utterly devastated by Helene, with many houses submerged and in dire need of complete reconstruction. Families in this area face extreme hardships associated with rebuilding, paying mortgages and rent while displaced, and many other factors related to this unprecedented disaster. The situation is urgent, and your support is crucial.
The Walk-A-Thon will be held at Lake Tomahawk in Black Mountain on June 7th. The Serve To LEAD team will walk 43 laps around the lake, or 23.65 miles, in honor of the 43 people who lost their lives in Buncombe County during Helene. Your participation in this event, either by pledging to the Serve To LEADÂ team, choosing to walk and gaining personal pledges, being a business sponsor, or helping out that day as a volunteer, will not only have a significant impact on the lives of the families in Beacon Village but also make a meaningful difference in the recovery process.Â
You can register, access sponsorship and pledge forms, PayPal and Venmo donation methods, and more by scanning the QR code.
100% of donations will go directly to help families in Beacon Village rebuild their homes and restore their lives.
Thank you for your consideration as we help one another rebuild lives and livelihoods. We are deeply grateful for your support and the difference it will make in the lives of those affected by this disaster!
