The Youthful HAND Summer Jumpstart Program is in full swing, and we couldn't be more thrilled to see the students' enthusiasm as they prepare for the upcoming school year!

We are deeply grateful for the excellent support of our community partners and volunteers. Thanks to their dedication, students are participating in enriching academic activities, creative arts, music, and hands-on learning experiences that make summer both fun and meaningful.

This year's theme, "Space Explorers," has ignited the imaginations of students across our classrooms. They are exploring the wonders of the solar system, building spacecraft models, creating planetary art, and conducting interactive science projects that fuel their curiosity. From science experiments and math games to music workshops and garden adventures, each day is filled with energy, growth, and joy.

The Summer Jumpstart Program plays a vital role in helping low-income students across Asheville, bridging academic gaps and preparing them for success in the upcoming school year. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, our efforts are more critical than ever as we address the learning loss and emotional strain experienced by many students.
