Caring for our neighbors locally and internationally!
Our summer is filled with service as we care for creation here in WNC and across the globe! The first week of Camp Connect just ended and our elementary age campers stayed strong and focused, while working in temperatures well into the 90’s! Campers led projects cleaning rivers, planting and packing food, harvesting crops, and making gifts of encouragement, all to help our neighbors in need.
In the words of my favorite theologian Dr. Seuss, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” Our Camp Connect kids do care “a whole awful lot”!
Our Camp Connect youth worked hard, serving all week in the local community and enjoyed some time cooling off in the afternoons!
Our next CAMP CONNECT is coming up in July.
We will partner with Youth Transformed for Life, providing servant leadership training and hands-on service for disadvantaged teens in our local community.
We are thankful to all those who are helping us share the love of Christ and the opportunity to grow as servant leaders with youth in North Carolina and around the world!
We need your support to offer this opportunity to more young people. Please consider giving to the work of Heart of the Cross Ministries. We have recently added a Paypal option to our web site. Give as you feel led to help us equip young people in poverty reduction through servant-leadership.
