Zambia in March
World Changers in Kaoma, Zambia take action to promote health and wellness in their community!
The month of March was spent working with world changers in Haiti and Zambia. During our visit to Africa we found the students at the Sishekanu Community School in Kaoma, Zambia taking action to benefit the health of their community. Students had been working hard on world changing activities and we celebrate their efforts.
Students at Sishekanu are concerned about the health of their community since they are unable to access water for regular hand washing. Because of this, many people suffer from hygiene related diseases.
The students educated their classmates and community members about illness prevention and created hand washing stations called “Tippy Tops”. These stations give people access to water and soap for hand washing. At the end of their presentation they installed “Tippy Tops” at all of the school’s restrooms.
Take action! Elevate Life!
